Hello Burtonsville Elementary School (BES) families, many parents are aware of the bus shortage and the increase of parents dropping off and picking up their children. Please consider volunteering to support BES staff during the arrival and dismissal activities. Volunteers will not be permitted into the building and will provide support outside the building to help manage and coordinate traffic and other arrival and dismissal activities.
Please select below to schedule a day or time that you are available to volunteer. Feel free to volunteer for multiple days and times. We appreciate your support and patience as we continue to improve this process.
What to expect when you volunteer?
Volunteers to meet at the flagpole: Mornings @ 8:45-9am; Afternoons @ 3:30pm
Volunteers to pick up safety vests at the front desk. Use the call box and let them know that you are a traffic volunteer. Drop off vest back at the desk when drop-off / pick-up is complete.
